hi all im a newbie from sunny margate Ive just bought a 1997 escort cab from ebay 73000 miles some mot till may has some front bumper damage so a replacement one is needed im hoping to have it on the road by the summer the interior is mint hopefully il get some pics on here

picked up my bumpers today just need prepping and painting now also picked up a boot spoiler but the screws have snapped inside it any ideas on how to get them out one of them I mite be able to get out the other has snapped inside any help would be good

I do love a boot spoiler fitted one to our mk5 was a pig of job finding right bolts for job the 1st bit of the thread is a plastic sleeve then metal inside well worth the hassle one of the best things I done deos your have a brake light in it would post some pictures of ours but don't know how to good luck

hi yes mine has a brake light in it il post a pic tomorrow if you want the scrap yard let me have it for a tenner as 2 of the bolts were sheared looking to put different alloys on her whats the biggest I can go to? the cabriolet in the scrap yard has been there about a year and know one has touched it so im hoping I have it to myself lol when I need bits going to tackle the roof tomorrow if wheather ok motor needs filling up hopefully it will work then

took a look at the roof motor today and found the resovoir split this the clear pot with max and min marked on it so I need a replacement also bought a set of alloys from a neighbour today for £40 quid with 3 good tyres here is a pic and a pic of my boot spoiler I bought 2015-03-01%2015.43.57.jpg2015-03-01%2015.44.53.jpg

hi don't suppose you have the plastic pot that holds the fluid in the power roof pump it has min/max written on it thought id ask coz you never know

hi people done a few bits today tyres being removed from my new alloys this week then off to get them refurbished removed the door mirrors today to get ready for painting as the laquer has peeled off still struggling with the power roof

hi all spent sometime today sorting out the power roof now in full working order problem down to bad connection all I need still is the plastic pot for the fluid if anyone has one

spent sometime today underneath the car she has a exhaust blow so need to sort this out at some point I have just purchased a m6 cab for spares good roof I will make a list in the week of what is any good and advertise on here giving you guys 1st dibbs if not il put it all on the bay

hi all spent the day taking the exhaust off as the center section is u/s the rest of the system is good so the hunt is now on for a center section anyone out there got one

not done much lately due to work comitments e.t.c I have fitted the front part of the exhaust and ordered a mantex sports system today looking forward to fitting it there is what I presume to be a fuel filter under the back end of the car this is leaking and looking very rusty so this will need to be changed I will take a pic of it tomorrow and maybe someone could confirm that it is a fuel filter

If it;s a cylinder type thing by the rear of the fuel tank, yes.

 

Be careful getting the push fit lines off as they are plastic, may require some penetrating oil to help free them.

One of mine was stuck on, so I had to cut it to free the filter.
