Guest Max
Hi everyone OK you find me on here from time to time asking for help/advice or the odd part but now its time to full on!!! i have an XR3i which is tatty to say the least, new roof on its way and in the morning i should be taking it in to get the body kit fitted that has been kicking round my mums garage for about three years lol. wings will be chopped off, bonnet put on, bumpers made as i don't have any with the kit, filler, paint maybe new doors god knows what else. i will be doing the work myself under the watchful and very helpful eye of John the mechanic who is kindly letting me do it at his garage, no doubt i will be forever doing signs/vinyls for him as repayment.... will get some pics on here as i go and once i work out how to lol. will be looking for a set of rims and suspension in the future and other bits so thanks in advance to anyone who is able to help out. lets get this show on the road!!!! Guest Max
OK, back again and its time for week 2, not a whole lot of different things show as it was mainly grinding, trimming and testing the fit on the first side. so here are the pics
Guest Max
now for those of you paying attention you may notice the kit seems to not actually fit, well thats because it dosent lol. we are now thinking its for a MK3 or maybe a saloon, certainly something a couple of inches shorther at the back with different rear lights and front indicators, but we will make it work......somehow..... no installment next week as i'm away for the weekend but i will back on it the week after
Guest r1cky
i would say its for a standard mk3/4 xr31 shape mate
chaz
Tend to agree it's for a tin top, mk3 and mk4 cabs share the same rear panels and luggage booth. Hope you make it work mate.
gingergman
thats alot of welding to do mate! looks like its for a tin top?
Guest Max
Yeah after seeing one round town the other day it looked like it would fit a tin top, the more i strip off the more holes i find, this one would of been off to the big ford show in the sky within a year if i had not started this, so we push on keeping the rubber on the road where its ment to be
Guest Max
OK, Day 3, the rear wings are now attached and in place, still a few bit to work out, like how do the lights fit but it will all come together in the end

Guest Lee81
Would put good money on that being a rs1700T kit. Think people still produce this kit so you may be able to get the matching front and rear bumpers if your lucky
