heap1983
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and I am seriously considering buying a cab, I have come across a 1988 all white edition which I believe from what I’m being told that there was only 150 RHD made and 150 LHD this one happens to be number 33 and after a chat today the seller has suggested that he has been advised that there are limited left - ford suggested five in decent condition in the UK its never been shown before as it’s been stored and all service history including purchase receipt The car looks great. 1st of all is the above true or is it exaggerated 2nd is 15k too much at 28k on the clock it does look immaculate any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Edited August 6, 2019 by heap1983 Spelling mistake
Ian71
15k for any cab is expensive, depends how desperate you are to buy it. If I had 15k to spend I would buy an rs turbo or sapphire cosworth . There is a car advertised in Northants for 10k ,was 15k a few months back, that’s only covered 5k miles, think that tells you enough. Good luck. heap1983
Thanks for the advice @ian71, you don’t happen to have the link for the one in Northants? If there are only 150 made and even less today then wouldn’t this make the car more desirable?
paulee
I took a picture of one off these few months back , wouldnt mind a white roof for my 89 cab. There v rare , but look at the other cabs about that year , the absolute mint ones some folk want 10k-15k for low miles low owners total original etc theres one up the now for 13k crazyy. heap1983
Thanks @paulee, so in your opinion if this car is in great condition as the seller suggests then it would be in the 10-15 bracket any experience with this specific model (all white ltd edition)? Ian71
There was one at auction recently ,not sure what it sold for. If it has the leather interior and is a genuine one there are not many around, but as I said 15 k is strong, offer 10k and see what they say. heap1983
@ianxr3i @stumpy77 Apologies for just tagging you in to my post, but I noticed that you was listed as all white edition owners in a post from 2009 Stumpy your name was mentioned however it didn’t include the 77 so unsure if this is you

Ford Escort 1.6 XR3i Convertible -award winning concours condition WOOOW!! crazy money mate but its a no bad comparison. My opinion is how much do you love fords lol , its one of them.. as ian said you can get an rs turbo / capri etc with that doe. But on the other hand you would own a vehicle that theres so few left. Do you have any pics? and did you get a proper look? Is it original and all the numbers match and ford stamps?

Ian71
Listen folks, all the expensive cabs for sale on eBay or other sites have been on there for ages, I think that tells you what I am trying to tell you , good cars come on weekly either auction or buy it now, I still say £5-6k gets you a very clean good car, 1500 - 3000 gets you a car that you will spend 3k on to make it decent. Good luck.
