Guest Cally ann
so I've just been looking through the restoration pics and storeys and notic d that quite a few people seem to alter their trim to the RS or XR3i. I have a mk5 EFI and my plan was to keep her as close to original as possible bu now I'm not so sure. So my question is...........do I jazz her up or keep her pure? Skittles80
I own a mk5 on a L reg and she was already modified a little bit when I got her so I carried it on and personalised her a bit more what I would say if your car is totally original and never been played with I would leave it As it is I think yours looks good the way it is the nearest thing I would do is to fit a period set of alloys to it as I never have liked wheel trims and may be fit clear side and front indicators I have a spare set if u want to see what they look like and I will be at simply ford in belieu good luck with what ever u decide
Ian71
RS 2000 seats or xr3i seats dont come up for sale very often, and when they do they are not in great condition, my advice is if yours are in good order keep them.
Guest ANDYA
I would say that if you can 'bolt on' a mod and easily return it to original, then go ahead. It can improve the driving experience and make the car personal to you. When it comes to selling you can make it original again or offer the parts to the buyer. Guest El87cabi
Completely up to you, my view is get through the list headed 'repairs' if you have one then look to mod/improve if you wish, modding's not cheap
