Guest Rooyan Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Hi, Build on the car; http://www.escortcabrioletclub.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/27055-my-1990-xr3i/ I brought my 1990 mk4 xr3i and so far this has whats its cost me; £800 - car £600 on repairs £1175 - respray / bonnet £265 - wheels / refurb £100 - tyres £100 - spoiler £95 - exhaust £65 - rs dials £25 - clear indicators £10 - side lights £100 - set of recaros ( not in the car atm) £30 - door sills £30 - tail lights thats £3395 and it still doesn't run properly and the inside isn't finished. seriously had so much fun with this car but honestly that's like 10% of the time, it has spent 90% of the time in the garage / parked up and the repairs bills just rack up. drove the car for a couple hours last night and this afternoon i have gone to check it, and there is pools of oil under the car again, still cuts out and i am going round in circles with taking it to garages etc, etc, if i sold the car what is it worth? or should i break it and sell it for parts? or how much do you think it would cost to fully put right, even if that's means striping the whole engine bay Edited May 30, 2014 by Rooyan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(fingers crossed) been running how it should all day with no leaks so we will see how it turn outs! and ollie the builds up there somewhere, there the only pictures i have.
