Guest Darren Edwards
hi, 1st time i`ve ever posted on a forum, so forgive me if i do not know the etiquette. I have a 1996 1.8i escort cabriolet 98k miles, for sale (as a restoration project), I love it too much to scrap, the bad news: rust on boot lid and under roof on rear quarter panels, passenger door and sills, will go through MOT 2 front bushes steering rack replacing electric roof not working, but I am led to believe that it just need some fluid in the pump?? the good news: it is one of the strogest engines I have ever owned 4 good alloys( not original) roof in very good condition no leaks spent a lot of money on parts, new water pump, altenator, top half rebuild, new cam belt(less than 5k miles) 2 months MOT and TAX left I have been offered £100 for it by a scrap dealer but I have spent too much time and money on it for that or is it a fair price, hence Why I am posting. I suppose I would be happy with £300 but is that too much, I will try to post a couple of pics for you to have a look. If anyone can give me some idea of what it is worth. Many thanks

allblue
Hi Depending on condition they go for about £300-£2000 on ebay. £2000 would be the low mileage car in as new condition as poss. Without seeing condition it is had to tell, but you should get £300 easily for it on ebay. But I would aim higher, say around £500-£800. Check out ebay and see what other similar cars are going for. Guest Lee81
You'll struggle to get £300 for it with a nackered steering rack. That means anyone who buys it will have to trailer it away. That costs a fair bit of money unless you have one. I bought one of these with less problems for £160 off ebay. 3 days work and £200 later sold it for £950. Might be worth you doing the same if you have the time
Guest Darren Edwards
Thank you all for your advice, Ebay seems to be the way forward, Just 1 more question, should I sell as it is, or would I get more as Parts?
