badger
hi people we are planning a europeon tour for 2012 including a day or 2 at the world famous nurburgring. this is being planned and we will need to start booking hotels and ferry's from the new year so if your seriously intrested then you need to let us know by adding to this post and then we can start sorting out. here are the basic details and look at possible route/ideas for the trip just to give you an idea of price and whats going to happen while away. ESCORTCABRIOLETCLUB EUROPEON TOUR 2012 Travel. leaving on saturday 25th august and return on saturday 1st september Stena Ferry from Harwich(return with evening meal) £328 breakfast is £14 extra each ferry sales at 23.15 out and 22.30 homewards. P&o ferry from hull £488 for same. Eurotunnel is £70 each way. Remember you’d have to add meals and hotel to this. Trip. This is all just for consideration and not fixed Sunday morning. Hook of Holland to liege(Belgium) Short route is 132miles fast is 151 miles. Monday liege to nurburg. Short 83 fast 100 Tuesday at track/sight seeing Wednesday nurburg to Arnhem Short 146 fast 160 Thursday Arnhem to Amsterdam Short 60 fast 63 Friday Amsterdam to Hook of Holland Both 50 miles. Hotels. all prices are for double room and in euro but with parking liege . campanile luik 72.50 / breakfast extra ibis liege seraing 70.00 /breakfast extra nurgurg. Hotel anders nordschleife 75.00 including breakfast (2 nights needed) Arnhem. Hotel de paasberg 80.00 including breakfast Amsterdam. Campanile hotel 75.00 breakfast extra Remember we need to book asap to get everyone at same hotel and some are up to 10 miles away from centres. Prices are subject to change so we need sort this out. Your looking at around 400 euro for a couple just for hotels Plus £328 for ferry Plus fuel /nurburgring/food/gifts etc etc So i would estimate £1000+ spend per couple would be very easy ????? for whole trip. we as a club will be looking to start booking the ferry and deposits for hotels etc at the beginning of next year and therefore will be in touch with all that want to go to secure a deposit and the ferry costs. if you have any questions please reply to this post or pm me direct. many thanks badger. sifitz
simon and karen will be going again as we had an excellent time on the 2010 trip. We will be going via harwich/hook of holland on the ferry as it was a good way to travel and have a good meal/sleep before getting off first thing in the morning ready to drive down. We would like to spend 2 days at nurburgring as last time the nurburgring day was too short - its such a lot of fun and there are lots of things to do there i.e. watch supercars, go round on two different days if busy or weather bad, rollercoaster, go karting, american diner, etc etc. Would love to do Amsterdam - that was a real scream but too short. Put us on the list and keep us updated with dates so we can book off work etc. See you at a meeting soon. Have a fantastic Christmas everyone. Basilbear
Skippy and me will be going again.......I'd prefer to miss out Leige though and go straight to the Nurburgring, and then use the extra day for a detour into the Black Forest on our way up to Amsterdam......what does everyone else think? As soon as we know the dates we will book our ferry as we are going to use our tesco vouchers to get the crossing free. So if you aren't aware you can use tesco vouchers for ferries, its definitely worth doing. karen and simon
