Guest Alanman Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 We're out in the cab this weekend and that'll be it for 2011 and the end of another chapter. A little gutted cos 2011 has gone too fast, but we've had a good year and done as much as we can so cant complain. Plans for 2012, a colour change (cant beleive its been white for 2 years) and a change to the interior. Guest Alanman Posted November 16, 2011 Share Posted November 16, 2011 Yep. Colour change. Not sure yet but we're thinking the RS green. We need the cab to be "in your face" again. The cream seats are sold now, and will be replace with some black ones. We've got a few ideas but not sure what type yet. lol. I've started stripping / rubbing it down ready to prep for the paint so its too late now. Stripping and prepping a car for paint sound like hard work but I love it. Guest Alanman Posted November 17, 2011 Share Posted November 17, 2011 Ultimate green, thats the one. It'll be ages before there's anything worth photographing but as soon as there is I'll get em up. All thats been done so far is the rear spoiler off badges, lights and rear bumper. (NB theres a metal mk3 rear bumper under the fibreglass one. That could be worth a mint. lol.) Bodywork wise it aint that bad. I'll prop get away with a small tub of filler this year. lol The only bit I've started flatting is were the fuel filler USED to be. The fibreglass / filler had sunk a little so flattened it off again. I just keep nipping in the garage for half hour here and there if Clare's watching some shit on tele. lol. We came back from Tesco shopping last night (about midnight) and while Clare was packing away I stuck my head in the garage for 10 mins. To say the last trip out it came back with a show and shine trophy there was a lot thaty needed repairing / sorting. I recon I'd be bored this time of year if I didnt have the cab to do.
