well the old cabby is back on the road again at last, i never thought i'd see the day tbh but there you go, MOT passed with no advisories so its now taxed, mot and insured thank god.

cant see my thread in show us yours or project forums so i'll stick up a new one with the pics seems like its been worked on forever as i think its been 4 years now on and off lol.

its had a full engine rebuild(mfi) all brakes and break lines etc etc, new front pannel and crossmember, bonnet, headlights the lot, resprayed last year, then i converted the engine to EFI a few weeks ago using a 68k H plate hard top as a donnor (i did use the mot the car and use it for 6 months before it was stripped because the shell was fecked)

over the next few weeks it will have 2 new wings fitted with 2 new back arches and 2 new doors then sprayed again as i promised my nephew he could take it to college and use it as a project when it was sitting as a rolling shell so i cant go back on it now lol

its just the standarn 90 spec interior in it for now but the modified one is nearly done now and will be fitte in due time and hopefully will well suit the car

heres a pic of how it looks now, sorry bout the odd wheels as cant decide if i should use the turbo or the lattice Xr3i ones, the side skirts will be fitted again once the new wings are fitted as i cant get fixinngs on the wings or arches for now

looks lower than mine! when i had tubby wheels i could not get over speed bumps (this is how i justified the bigger wheels ).

you need to change your number plates before you get pulled though.

plates should be ok its a std font fitted by previous owner  was way too low previous owner dropped it 60mm even the join on the downipe hit the ground, and was way too hard to drive so have raised the front to standard and will do the back when i get the springs off the 3i shell when it gets scraped that will do for now until i get adjustables all round and then bigger wheels

Number plates will draw the attention of the police. If you get stopped, especially by traffic officers, they will inspect the car for other offences. Also they can contact your insurance company and check on any modifications that you have done. If they are not listed, you insurance company can withdraw the policy and you will end up in court for no insurance and possibly fraud. They also have the power to tow the car away and crush it. Don't be a victim and keep these cars on the road.

know what u mean mate the car went through an mot with them and nothing was said so i dunno and the only mod is the quad lights as everything else is factory fitted ford items so the car is the way it came out the factory, the indicators on the front are legal too i checked with mot station and as long as they are fitted and forward facing it doesnt matter where they are fitted which surprised me as i thought they would need to be in a specific location to be legal. the plates only show up at night and i only really drive it during the day. thanks for the advice and i will be changing them anyway as i dont like them and they got the previous owners name on them too so the will be off lol

At least it passed.

MOT testers are not as strict as the police. They check that the car is in safe working order. The police follow regulations similar to VOSA.

just a wee update got the dash just about done after lying in the garage waiting for a clear coat for almost a year lol.

not decided if i'll keep the white parts or just use all black so opinions welcome.

think it will go good with the car, once the rest of the door cards and trim are done just hope im right in the end lol or it will be a big waste of time
