Yes, after much faffing, effing and geoffing I have FINALLY joined you guys with a Black Mk4 Cab. I've been home about 10 minutes and heres the only pic i've got so far. It needs a good wash due to the motorway journey home but you'll get the idea

It seems a good clean example, I cant find anything wrong so far (except I dont know how to work the little computer thing inside), Everything works perfectly though its taking a while to get used to such an old car again. Now is it me, or did the xr3i have suspension made out of scaffolding? lol

There are plenty of other things in the boot:

orange front indicators

a window

couple of mechanical things I have NO idea what are

roof cover

pack of tissues

5p peice

bubble wrap

Very strange, I guess its so I can build another one one day lol

also just found;

a pair of rusty spotlights

The mechanical thing kind of looks like a small car, it def smells of fuel and has a pull cord in the top of it

1980's/90s cassette radio

Thankyou Guys. I paid £800 with tax (april) and mot (August) however there are a few faults which will be my priorities.

Replacing Aerial as current one is snapped at the base

Big Bore exhaust is too damn noisy and theres a rattling from underneath, This will probably be replaced with standard 3i one.

A good service is in order,

Tiny dots of rust in a few places need sorting before they become an issue (namely round windows) but the boot is clear as is the battery tray.

I'm thinking of removing any trace of alarm/immobalisers and replacing them with a nice Cat 1 model (with various add-ons).

Then maintaining the very good bodywork.

Changing the Radio Cassette for an MP3/cd unit

Here are a few more pics  (still not been washed yet though, Sorry lol)

I was well chuffed had it not been for the traffic on the M6 and M5.

I have noticed a few things when driving though that concern me, there seems to ba a grinding noice that gets louder when you brake, and it seems to struggle to get started, possibly due to the immobaliser, i'm not sure

incidentally I put a jet wash on it, looks 200% better with all the road dust washed off. I think a trip to Chavford is in order to pick up some decent polish and interior cleaner. Should be looking jolly spiffing by monday

Turns over slow to begin with, feels like it wont start every time. BUt there are 2 immoballisers on there, so I'm not sure if its the other one playing up.

heres my closest impression:

hmmm ok, It just seems like its going to die, or you have a dead battery......very unnerving, not so much when at home, but when i'm out and about. Is there nothing that can be done?

Very nice clean mk4 mate, did you manage to find out

what exactly you found in the luggage boot.

Yeah kind of, there is a bike Carb body, 2 orange front indicators, a rear side window, a rusty spotlight and complete spotlight and some bits of metal that look like Mounts

Ok cheers

Just bought some firegum (or something) as there is a slight but noticable hole in a join on the exhaust, hopefully that will solve some little niggles I have. Some Turtlewax Premium, a few new microfibre polishing cloths..........Oh and an air freshner

I have found the cause of the rattle, A gear linkage under the car is loose but secure (if that makes sense) But I cant seem to tighten it.

Any ideas greatfully received
