Hi mate efi will fit out of mk4 or mk5 but will need loom to go with it and lot of hassel for 3 bhp more

Better keeping to mfi easy to swap stright forward....less electric things to go wrong save money in long run

this is my opinion....but up to you

The bulb holder is yet to be delivered.

Got today off work, it's not raining, and there is a cabbie and some tools outside waiting for me.

8 hours of tinkering, her I come!

Also did an oil change, oil filter, spark plugs and air filter. Bulb holder got delivered, but I was out the back and didn't hear the door

Got to wait until tomorrow now to go pick it up.

The bulb holder did NOT fix the problem of no rear tail light on the offside. So, owing to the fact that this does not work, the dash lights do not work, the windscreen washer pump does not work and the radio wires have disappeared, I'm sending her to an Auto-Electrician this week to sort her electronics out and fit my radio.

Dont really want others working on it, but hey ho, theres no other option with my limited time.

Then, one hopes, MOT time!

Hi,

I've been away for a while as there has been tons to sort out on my other cars and the cabbie as and when time permitted.

The good news is, that on Wednesday I will collect her from the garage with a full MOT. It's 99.9999999% there, just got a bad earth and the wheels need balancing.

I've booked Wednesday off work and im praying for sun! Just got to tax it when I pick it up then I can go for a drive.

However, I need a new bonnet, preferably one without rust and if at all possible a bad boy one. Anyone have one spare or know someone with one??????

FINALLY got my cabbie ont he road! Taxed and Tested.

Although this now throws up new problems like the wobbling all over the place as I'm going down the road. Going to have the wheels re-balanced to see if that helps.

I dont expect it to be like driving a new car, but I'm sure it shouldn't be this bad??

I'll get some up to date pics on soon as I've been combating the rusty bits lately.

Long may this weather continue :-)

Just need to fill, sand and paint this week and then put it all back together. Then the next job will be doing the same to the front.

make sure you grind all the rust away mate or it will come back under the filler fast! good pics too :salut_gb:

I have scraped it all off and used antirust on the areas of bare metal before filling them.

Started the sanding down last night, which is something I am not that good at. will post pics when I have sanded down and rebuilt the back end.

Can anyone tell me what the proper name for the rubber things on the bottom of the windows is and where I can get a new set as mine are beyond gone.

Cheers,

do you just mean the rubber seals that sit against the glass on the doors?

Yeah, them. And the ones for the rear side window.
