Be honest m8 I've only just set it up about 2 months ago, with african cichlids got about 35 in there now & they're spawning already! lol

It's a fluval set-up that I won @ an auction - good price to, get some pics of your up m8 & lets have a look :biggrin:

not normally a fan of fishtanks,, but thats a quality set up,, all the ones ive seen before are the cheap nasty ones,, that look tacky,

needs some coral or something like that imho,, just to compleate the tropical look,

i take it yours are tropical and you have made it look like a marine tank

Can u eat em m8? I love a nice bit of Cod, never tried them tropical ones before, I would imagine that they r a bit like sushi, an aquired tast. hehehe. lol :happy001: :happy001:

very nice tank, im getting a pair of sea horses but need to decorate first aas theyre very sensitive and dont want to stress them out

 

i wanted a tank with oscars in aswell u can make them hand tame lol oh and they eat mice yuk!!!!!

Yeh it is tropical ollie, its the 1st time I've had fish, would mind a marine set-up but hear they're really hard to keep on top of - they are the best coloured fish though & look the muts nuts with coral & the likes, what have you ended up putting in yours then??

Hahaha - you wouldn't catch me trying to tame an oscar, you seen the size they get & the teeth on them

 

You can feed my Cichlids with flake by hand

Round silver ones are called silver dollars

 

the other big one is my shark

 

the ugly looking one is my plecky

 

hahaha you seen the size them plecks get?? There's some of them in a shop by ours & they're MASSIVE

iv got 2 silver sharks,

2 tiger barbs

5 neon / cardinal tetras

4 barb things (orange 1's)

about 18 dalmation mollies (they bread)

2 corydoras

2 glass catfish

2 red platties, 1 white platie

and a pleco

Mine have bread aswell markey - but the f'rs keep on eating the fry!! :closedeyes:

& how the hell did you move it to your new house??

 

I've lost 4 in total now - kepp on saying @ the fish shop _ asked for cichlids not pirhanas!! pmsl

nope mine is leak free,

 

we got one of those floating nursary tanks n put what we thought was a pregnent in there, seemed to do the trick

 

 

id say we'v lost around 10 fish so far, had the tank about a year now, ya never know how long they been in the shop for either so some may be old age deaths

 

 

 

it was a bit of a major opperation to move them, bought a load of bags of ebay ( the ones ya get from the fish shop) and a coupple of water containers to move as much water as poss too,

 

took up a fair few hours, plus the sharks grew too big for my net n it was a case of chasing them round the tank with a bag, what fun lol
