Guest Haddow
PROGRESS!!!!! i pushed it out................looked at the engine........ and then pushed it back in! hahaha more progress next week when it makes it down to the bodyshop, paying for the materials this week so should be down very very soon and back up nicely new coloured and looking like a proper S2 RS cab! couldnt get the RS bonnet so im leaving it with the XR one so although it wont look 100% like one, the arches and bumper will be on so i'll still keep some XR looks which the purists might like a bit. after that its engine out time and then search for a zetec to get dropped into her

Guest Haddow
ok pics as requested engine - coming out for a full rebuild and upgrade, some more pics when that happens but im not giving much away from that it WILL have this on it however : got these through for when its been resprayed so these will go on it: these wheels will be going on it with being refurbished and brand new toyo's on them: this might go on it unless i can find my steering wheel which is top secret and then heres the collection of parts i'll be mixing and matching for to for the best match, what i dont use will be up for sale! that's all for now, more updates shortly when the old girl's heat comes out and she gets an upgraded heart. at current its idling like a bag of crap, lumpy as hell and poor running although once it gets going its a quick motor! loves to rev bang up to 6000 and doesnt feel like it wants to back off at all up until around 100-105 then starts to back off

Guest Haddow
ok progress today FINALLY!!!!!!!!1 todays work, took about 3 hours with the fact of an absolute b**ch of anti roll bar bolt, but apart from that...... everything went smoothly! :wow: heres todays progress: arrived home to find some work needing done on this for a mate, front and back bumper replacements so put it to the side and parked up the new look polo for the day then got cracking with the new look exhaust, think that the angles need sorting out a slight touch got underneath and started cracking on the driveshafts, ARB, and a couple of bits and bobs underneath... not a hint of rust on the main underfloor got the master named only as "Deek" down to help out with the removal of everything as underneath, pic as said, not bad for 20 years old! lol gangsta lean from the car didnt work well on the roads unfortunately then the anti roll bar got in the way, got them sorted out eventually and then the hard part, making coffee! then after the coffee and some headbanging we got the exhaust moved out the way, 2 bolts on the clamp at the backbox join are rotten, so they'll be attacked with the grinder and cut off, backbox will be up for sale at some point as well, rest of the exhaust will be scrapped its useless and not stainless so no need for it. then we saw this, and saw that this on looking at it closer to get the engine out. we were about a 1/4 inch above where the ARB sits, so we had to sort something to get the engine pulled out below it and drag it out. at this point we really did feel a bit like this! finally we got like this! so as it stands the cars back as a rolling shell, ready to be taken to the bodyshop tomorrow! more progress tomorrow! Guest Haddow
forgot to take the camera down today when we got cracking taking the rest of her apart......... passenger side rear arch is needing fully replaced its rotten like feck. drivers side rear one needs a cut out and plate welded onto it, rest of the car is solid. got the doors stripped down, handles, locks, spoiler off, and started to look at what else is needing done in between digging up holes for a new sign for the bodyshop, sanding down a Mazda 3 for paint and stripping down a renault 9 turbo for some restoration work. will get the camera out tomorrow if im down and off work and get cracking with the snaps etc for it! hopefully tomorrow the arches are started on and done if all goes well if not end of the week. should have it all done in a couple weeks time but it depends on how quickly Mike @ Custom Coachworks gets cracking with this Mazda and a rare Mini Cooper Sport 500! Guest Haddow
ok progress today was checked all the rusty bits out and heres the results on the back arches....... some assembly required maybe? :wow: bodywise not too bad, pen marks indicate dents needing taken out, from the smallest pin mark right up to the big one on the other side
