I've Started The Quest

well i pulled the cab out of the garage and started to strip it ready for zetec conversion i have collected a nice group of parts and bits that i need to do it, but the efi loom i've required doesn't look complete below are the pics of what i've got, have a look and some advice will be most welcome just remember i'm changing a mk4 carb to zetec with efi.

i brought these of ebay they said mk4 efi loom ,ecu, with head and inlet monifold but the inlet manifold is different to the one i have fitted to zetec as below

there's loads more i've got rs turbo brake upgrade and 4 brach stainless manifold plus rear poly bush set, tinted lights, white dials and power hood kit all to fit it's going take some time to do.

well things are on the move now, i've been to chelmsford and striped out a mk4 efi loom with the help of tony (many thanks)

and boy that was a quick lesson learnt. i now have to strip my loom out and insert this one.

but i do need to be a little bit more carefull as i'll need to put the parts back on again not chuck'm in the boot.

i'll bet some more pictures up as and when i do it so you can all see.

yes removung the radio and heater unit with big scweediver and brut force may not be the best whay for puting things back lol

 

gald to be of service and look forward to seing it runing next weekend

well, inbetween the rain today i have now removed the engine and strip out everything looking at having the engine bay resprayed but after a recount on funds i have decided that it'll have to be a good old clean up and touch up job but never mind you can't have everything.

did you say you got a mk4 engine mount ?

sorry about the darts but it had to be done and yes i modified the engine mount at work today

so all i need now is fuel side of things.

well i know the weather's been horrible so didn't get much done this weekend but i managed to get my brother to do some wiring.

i then spent the afternoon in the garage out of the rain fitting my modded engine mount and puting the gear box/startermoter and altenator on so the engine is ready to go back in.

so its down to the fuel side of things now.
