  1. i snapped my indicator where it met the headlight which left an annoying gap so ordered a new one which arrived so took old one out put new one in and there is still a gap any suggestions?? here's driverside gap not so bad

  3. petrol treatment do an oil change change ur oil filter check your air filter and use winsoil great stuff or any other engine cleaners

  5. i had the same problem the crank sensor is just above the starter motor as you look you'll see a 2 pin black connection that turns 90 degrees heading into where gearbox is attached hope this helps ps hope when replacing with new the old one doesnt crumble like mine did i had to split gearbox and engine to get it out !!!! let us know how you get on

  7. i got one of them but not attached or plumbed up engine idles abit high but fine intl u rev it when it comes down it almost cuts out but never have so far tis a bad thing but i seen a picture of one plumbed up to the air inlet/air intake oposit side to where the brake master cyclinder connects..
  8. umm confused.com i connected battery run the car look at speed no battery light???? played around with blue wire still no battery light? and come to think of it no oil light after i put a new oil pressure switch in any thoughts???

Battery problem first check blue wire great condition connect fine, change red relay in main fuse box which outed the battery light on dash when the car is running but battery still died, recharged battery ran the car took off black wire from battery car cut out suggesting alternator at fault took back to the shop awaiting new one.... i have mfi clocks in my car but have tried with efi clocks both times only half reading of revs i did find site rsbible which says something about running a wire from the E dis unit pin 11 to the back of the clocks but didnt say which wire/port at the back of the clocks would like to shed some light on this please and rear window well i will be looking many thanks
  11. almost there.. just a few niggly bits left for the electrics mk4 efi 1.6 sorted out my back lights but now i need some kind soul out there to take pictures of the rear window loom set up where it runs from and to pleaseĀ¬! i think im missing this section!! also my rear interior is funk inless i ark it again the bare metal on the car the light will not come on!!! rev counter problems??? only shows half of what engine is reving?? maybe a picture diagram would help such amatuers as myself and bought new alternator new battery n battery always manages to run flat? i noticed on dash light when engine runs battery light stays on??? some1 said to me possible relay or the way i set fuse box up as i took most relays i had out of a fuse box from an mfi and currently running well trying to run efi engine help!!!!! also maybe a loose wire but i noticed that when i turn ignition on my oil light doesnt light up some1 said its ment to at first before you turn car ignition fully on ie when engining is running!!! ??????????????? please help pciture would be great!!! lol
  12. [i had this problem got a motor from another car fitted it same thing but noticed that the runner closest to the begining of the door the round shape bearing thats ment to run along the runner is missing !!!! hence why the lift is so slow have a look!!!
  13. not sure what its called but happened on my efi near the throttle on other side left on the engine there should be a black thing which has a connection to it check the connection isnt loose i pushed my back in n worked fine...sorry i dont know name of it i think throttle responce thingy hope this helps
  14. hi i have a mk4 efi cab right problem is/are my passenger side wing mirror glass is boiling hot driverside cold but not working properly making noise but mirror not moving...noticed it today didnt think they were heated my front heater screen button light was on but i changed a fuse and it went out for 10 minutes checked fuse fine...??? my boot interior light not working and lol which or what wires are for the rear heated screen how do i find them and what colors are they i have an idea here's a picture of wires i found at back
  15. please answer this i had same problem push start her she run then turned off tried just click noise check connect on started abit lose tightern it up not clicking now but wont start either without a pish start.. dont even have to push her far to get her to start...hope you guys can help us 2 out,,,,

  17. hello gentlemen and ladies i have a major issue guess??... yes LEAKING!! not from me of course lol, but from my mk4 cabriolet if it doesnt leak from where the roof meets the windscreen pillar both sides.. then it leaks from the back of the fusebox because as i seen the other day the water is running down into the grove of the beginning of the wing and instead of running along its leaking through the wing running down the bulk head behind of the fuse box into driverside footwell.... not the same the other side not leaking in but i have a soggy battery tray which is not good!!! so very annoyed.... also my drivers window flaps back an forwards... so im looking to seal my car does anyone have a full kit(rubbers both sides,and rubbers for windows itself but only driver side to stop window moving out of place) in decent condition they want to sell??? thanks in advance i hope lmao...
  18. i have a simular problem well sort of my temp and fuel gauge fine my revs well i could rev the tits off her wont go above 3000 rpm on clocks as for your temp gauge check your sensor if its on red on one clocks im imagine on the other clocks the fuel n temp gauge are switched left to right so im guessing its reading temp instead of petrol !!! i got efi aswell convert from mfi been a pain in the ass.... apparently on rsbible.com/co.uk u can run a wire for your e-dis unti pin 11 to the back of your clocks and should fix the rev counter problem hope this helps you !!
  19. yes i installed myself... all connections are good the wire from alternator to starter motor is intact and damage free..... ummm.. but still wondering why the battery light on the clocks remained illuminated while the engine was running funny enough the handbrake light stayed on aswell and i just replaced the switch....
  20. both spanking new!! what would i be looking for?? the only thing at the moment wrong with the car is the back lights blink when the indicators come on i think its a bad earth... so besides the battery light on the clocks staying on ummm....hope the starter is too hot otherwise im stumped....
  21. heat shield for starter ??? well i'll give it another try and hope for the best... but why does the battery light on the clocks constantly stay on??
  22. just wasnt enough power to turn it over starter motor was so slow.. not happy the battery and alternator are both brand new...
