Vincygav
It is not illegal to run the hood when driving as someone mentioned earlier in this post. Other manufacturers allow the roof to be taken done whilst driving, like Saab etc. although they have inhibitor switches set at 20 or 30mph. As for the location of the yellow relay, put your head on the floor and you would see it near the central locking control module. It is next to a green relay. Guest dangerousdave28
Mark you sussed it yet mate? and if so what did you have to earth out? , going to mine next I then fitted a bypass so I can operate the roof with the engine running. The wiring is different on the late mk6, so if anyone wants to do it, heres how. Next to the battery is a connecter with 1 blue wire going into it, disconnect it and close the bonnett. Then remove the drivers kick panel and find a blue and red wire taped together. I used a scotch lock and connected the blue wire to a switch, the other terminal on the switch is connected to an earth. That's it, with the switch off the roof dosen't work flip the switch and it will work with ignition on and engine running. You don't the switch, I just did it as a safety method. If you don't use a a switch, just earth blue wire in the footwell and make sure you unplug it near the battery. Dave

Guest sjc
figured out what the two saftey switches are, they are conneted to the press studs that the tonneau clicks onto, so you cant operate roof with it on

That's another mystery solved.
