Guest markeyboy
basically i know of the little trick where ya pull the relay out (drivers side kick plate) bit i cant seem to find this, so iv beem having a look at the diagram at the ignition relay? and i was wondering if i could just put a live onto the common of the switch (red arrow, see below) and if i do do this will it hurt anything, ie blow fuses, cause any other problems cheers guys
Guest brendanj9554
yes you can bypass the relay on the roof so you can operate your roof while driving, it wont blow any fuses as the circuit is fused elsewhere, the purpose off the relay is only to allow roof to operate on 1 turn off key. its a safty feature, cause if you were driving at 70mph and operated the roof the frame would twist etc etc

Guest sjc
basically i know of the little trick where ya pull the relay out (drivers side kick plate) bit i cant seem to find this, so iv beem having a look at the diagram at the ignition relay? and i was wondering if i could just put a live onto the common of the switch (red arrow, see below) and if i do do this will it hurt anything, ie blow fuses, cause any other problems cheers guys Hiya Mark, To read the drawing correct I need to know what operates S1 and S2, as these along with RIII and RIV form the flip flop that decides whether the pump is going to spin or not. Basically pump forward and reverse relays RI & RII have their coils switched on the -ve side through the flip flop. With Key in R if SI or SII is closed nothing will happen cos R1&2 coils will be OC through conatct RIII, if S1&2 are both open pump will run. With key in 15 (assume R still alive) RIV is pulled in, this overides S1&2 and connects RIII to earth so it pulls in everytime you flick the switch, open circuiting the pump relays RI&II and stoppping pump from running. Have not seen this in real life, so dont know how S1&2 operate, but to make a clean job of it and remove RIII, RIV, SI & SII you need to connect pin 85 on either Ri or RII to -ve. If you find out what S1 or 2 do let me know, if they are limit switches on the roof/pistons themselves, it would be better to leave them in circuit The relay that people pulll will be RIV, which leaves the circuit operational as long as both SI and II are open. Hope it helps mate oh which wires which, get yer meter out, ignition off, the wire from ignition shorted to fuse is "R". the wire from ignition shorted to R4 pin 86 is "15" other one "50" dont lookk like it does anything. would imagine both R and 15 live when running. going for a lie down
