Mk4 Battery Light On Dash Dim Then Gets Brighter

Hi all, the car is charger ok when running it's dim when I first start driving then it gets brighter! I don't no what it could be can anyone help and yes it's on the road I can't believe it either! Haha!

Another wee problem I have a the window on passengers side isn't working and the central locking doesn't as soon as I put a new fuse it the slot it blows right away any help with that sorry to bother you all!!

Do you you know if it connects behind the front speaker?? Could it be round the wrong way or the plugs all different? Sorry and thanks for helping

check the wire that feeds back from the alternator via the starter motor. Likely it is breaking down internally to cause the flicker effect. If you do a wiggle test to it when it is running, you would see the light on the dash change under various positions you bend the wire.
