Ian71
Is there any signs of a leak on the ground where the car has stood overnight. If not i may be coming from around the pump/sender unit on the top of the petrol tank, of maybe the fuel cap seal has gone where you fill up with petrol. Guest Kev
I've had the same problem then found this leak on my 1987 Cab MFI. Not sure how to fix it safely and would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance. Kev

Vincygav
Make sure you have not overfilled the fuel tank trying to brim it. This causes it to go in the overfill and it how you smell it.
