hi guys, has anyone had a power steering upgrade put on their car or do you know anyone that has?

there is a company on eBay that will do the swap out with a Renault power steering one for £400 with a buy back of your parts for £50

just wondered if this was a good idea, would it mess up the car etc

advice would be appreciate, link to the eBay item is http://bit.ly/19kNAtY

cheers

sorry, getting my corsa and Clios mixed! does seem pricey but then there isn't another obvious fix or a DIY alternative that is safe, steering is so important that for £350 it seems a deal and also my misses can drive it with the power steering as long as its actually effective

.

Been looking into this myself, but using an Escort Mk5 rack only because they had power steering on some of the CVH's so the pump pulleys and belts etc will all just bolt onto my motor.

Did look at a Mk6 a few weeks ago at the local scrappy's but it was a Mk6 and the rack was bolted to the subframe not the bulk head so was no good :-(

It's got to be doable, I had a Mk2 Fiesta auto years ago that had an Escort converted rack on it.
