hi everyone,im new to the forum but known on other ford forums............my names ste from runcorn cheshire...

i recently got rid off my mk2 xr2 as wanted a new project for the winter, and have always liked the mk3 escort cabby....

i got a hold off this one,its a b reg in average condition does need work so my plans are as follows.

1800 zetec conversion/carb or bike carbs [dont no yet]

full recaro interior

new roof and door seals needed.

and full suspension rebuild and brakes.

i have £1500 here to put into her,and hopefully have it all done for january as i have free time til then....

body work wise shes mint no rot on cills or panels....needs a plate welding in on inside front wing behind washer bottle thats it......

matt black with s1 body kit and 15inc peugeot rallye steelies....

as been lowerd on i think 60mm apex springs but shockers wernt changed so they have to go as there past there best, and the rear tie bars need replacing as it crabbed and wobbled all the way back home,,very scarey to drive my god haha....

dont no if this car is known on here,if so any info would be nice  heres some pics i have will update as i go with pics.

ino that roof needs replacing or refitting.... was going to opt for a white roof if i can find one....right well ive just jacked up the rear and the tie rod bushes are cracked and falling apart so first thing monday i will go get some powerflex ones..........

plus ive been doing alot off research on doing the 1.8 zetec conversion.i have the cash to do this now,so was just wondering if anyone as a thread on the conversion and what needs modifying also what loom do i use as im gonna be using maybe bike carbs or the original carb.............
