hi jacqui if its anything like mine it was a pain in the bum especially as i had to keep taking the interior out to dry it all out to save the floor starting to rot. so here is what i done to save buying new seals 1. i took the door panels off and adjusted the bolts that hold the motor to door and the channels aswell and it made it a little better but wanted to go further so took all the bolts out and made the holes a bit larger to make the window go up further and that worked well but the only thing i forgot to do was put new washers on so they would grip the panel and stop them from sliding on the longer holes so after a while they moved a little alowwing a little gap.

2. i changed the seal that goes round the windscreen for a better one with a rain channel in and worked great. but still have a slight gap.

3. after a long while of spending time on it i then had a thought. if i open the door and help the glass up whilst pressing the window button the glass comes further up and creates a perfect seal even in the heaviest of thunder storms.

so now i have a constant dry car what ever the weather. the reason the glass wont seal against the roof seals is a possibly a combination of badly adjusted roof and worn rubbers.

if you want more info just give me a shout. or if you are up north il sort it out for you.

Hi,

you first need 2 confirm where the water is gettin in

remove the carpets & sound proofing then dry out the car

its much easier to spot the leaks with carpet & sound proofing removed

then use a hose on the car (with the roof up)

you need 2 rule out the battery tray & the fuse box

if the water runs in from the doors/sills it may be the internal door seals

if its the roof you should be able 2 spot the water runin down the doors or entering from the rear quarters etc.
