Guest Slo
This should of been posted last year if I had remembered to take a zillion pictures and log all the work and effort i put into this (then) nail of a car. Anyway here goes........I was offered it for £150 originally and turned it down and then re offered it for £100 so I just had to have it. It had a bust windscreen, blown engine altho it did run just very noisy, tires were slashed, every panel was dented etc etc, but the best part is the roof is like new and its also electric which works properly. I had an escort van sat rotting in my garage that i had transplanted a turbo diesel engine into a few years ago so decided to transplant it into the cabby seeing as it runs on fresh air and is exact same power but with more torque than the 1.6 hair dryer that was in it to start with. Here it is just after the engine transplant on mondeo alloys, it originally came on dog legs which i still have.
Guest Slo
During the engine transplant, pics are crap because I always forget to take pictures when i do this and my phone then was rubbish. Didnt have much room to work on it either

Guest Slo
always good to see a cab getting some love, good work mate! Thanks mate, altho it was more of a full on marriage in the garage rather than love with the conversion, was a right tw@ to do, especially the exhaust cos the rear floor pans are so tight to make a custom exhaust round. I did all the work on her myself including the crash damage cos insurance couldnt be arsed and just paid me out. Obviously its nowhere near done yet, im after a mk6/7 rear bumper, the window sill rubber need replacing, ill put the skirts on when i find some proper spats for the back, also need a window switch as i just got 2 rear electric window regulators and can only find 1 spare switch, wouldnt mind a mk6/7 complete interior too as this car used to belong to an idiot on drugs who cut amstrad sized speaker holes in all the door cards and basically ruined the look not to mention it would transform the mk6/7 look of the whole car

Guest alphalc
One Fenix ! Interesting this engine transplant. Here on Brazil we have diesel engines only for utilitarian vehicles. Good job !
