Guest diggy
BLIMEY! don't want to do things by half do you lol. that sounds like a impressive list most people would take the car off the road to do the things your planning! are you sure there is not anything you missed? lol

Guest Soggyllama
Thank you, It will probably take time due to budget restraints, and dependant of how much hassle any job could bring. However, some things could all be done in a few hours (Such as head unit, speakers, aerial etc) all as one 'job'. Cam/service/induction can all be done more or less together, so really, providing I get the goods together it shouldn't cause too much of a problem. However, not having a garage COULD prove difficult.......but not impossible. Also those silly little things need doing too (you know the ones, Tax, Petrol etc etc Chances are, i'll end up doing half of it, getting bored with other repairs that come along and end up selling to buy another cab lol
Guest Soggyllama
UPDATE: I'm on the lookout for a center console that will fit between the seats of the escort. Must have a 'cubby hole / armrest' type affair. My plan, Manipulate the console to fit with the MK4 dash, re-route electric window / roof switches to that and also have a 'Luxury' arm-rest whilst driving Anyone knows one that will fit with minor work, let me know I'm thinking MX5, or Mk2 Vectra. gingergman
good plans mate, only thing i wouldnt do is tint the windows, but thats just me lol. get stuck in and try not to get bored to end up selling!
Guest Soggyllama
Thanks everyone, @ Ginger Boy - The Window tinting isn't for cosmetics, its to keep the sun of my ikkle un when its bright, but to cold for roof down. Not going black, maybe just half black (if that makes sense) @ Robmk4 - Nooo, luckily its not Gravel, just a standard road. Seriously thinking of taking up the double grid outside and turning it into a pit lol, Not sure the locals and/or council would be impressed though I've decided against the center console thing for now, the MK4 seems to have a very odd shaped console and gap between the seats as it is. Could prove more frustrating getting -Height, Length, shape etc etc right. Ordered some Xenon HID 'Ice white' Headlight bulbs. Quite a steal actually £6.29 FREE delivery, but you get 2 headlight bulbs and 2 sidelight bulbs. I'll shine my current ones at a wall, mark off where they lie, change the bulbs and make sure they sit right so not to blind other road users. (Unlike the stupid mofo lorry driver last night who had half of blackpools illuminations stuck to the front of his cab on an unlit A road...Grrrrrrr). Ok so heres the pics of my £50 Stereo installed (ish) from yesterday: As soon as I won it yesterday on Ebay, I ran out to the car, ripped my current stereo out, fitted an ISO block to the dangling wires ready to accept the Pioneer. Wasnt too bad a job as I had already made sure I know what was what when i fitted the old goodmans in there. as soon as I paid teh guy from ebay, slipped the stereo in the hole and connected the wires. Deciding not to secure it fully yet as I dont have any 'keys' to remove it once in, and its going to be coming out again this week (hopefully) due to new aerial and Amp wiring. Once thats done, then it will be secured in place Oh well, thats all for now, keep you guys updated

Guest Soggyllama
Ok Cobra G193 (I think) was fitted on tuesday and working excellently, Just as I'd expect. (Despite the fitters arrived 4hrs late) and I was hoping to be installing some bass today, but due to a certain Ebay Member, I still havent received anything yet. SO, decided to dig through my aladdins cave of goodies I had in the boot, I dug out the spotlight brackets and 1 working spotlight. To my surprise the light worked on BOTH plugs, so that has saved me some fault finding and wiring. Unfortunatly both brackets had a touch of rust, so after trying to hold a bracket in one hand and using a wire brush on a drill in the other, managed to scrape my knuckles (More than once) and offend most the street with my 'choice' words ("Ouch, You mother flippin, bum, penis, coconut, nigerian, Ejaculation gobbling lady of the night" - Pre 9pm version ) Gave up on that and went back to trusty old sanding block and elbow grease, Huzzah, got somewhere. Painted on some rust goo and after about an hour cleaned that off and sprayed up so it looks kind of ok. Hopfully should get some more brackets tonight in better condition as one of mine has a rusty hole, though its still solid, I dont want to take the chance with road vibration etc, though I have these as a temp measure. So while I'm waiting for that to dry, found another pair of Gen RS Turbo Spots on Fleabay with one cracked lens and rusty 'dish' for the mere sum of £10 (but 9 days left), as I only need one anyway, thought of going for that. Hopefully I should have a nice pair of spots back where they belong. It has since come to my attention, that for some bizarre reason, I only have 1 nut and bolt to fix 2 brackets on.........time to raid neighbours tool box me thinks Thought of the day: "Why does the sun tease me so, comes out in the morning saying "Yo craigy Boy, Nice day today get some spraying done"......so I do, Only for the sun to get bored and bog off somewhere warmer, leaving me with clouds and rain......Tw@t!!" It was Mr Royal Mail bearing Gift ooOOOOOOoooooooooh feel like a kid at christmas, So I ripped it open to find............. So guess what THIS llama is doing today Tried it out on the surround sound at home, and it sounds great (For £30 inc P+P) even has little blue led's that flash with the beat (Tacky I know lol) since I dont have an amp yet, will have to change the stereos setting to 'SW - rear' and treat it like a rear speaker however I will lose rear stereo effect, but will have BAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS lol.
