The sub is temporarily running from rear speaker outputs with the output set on stereo to "sub" mode. I got an amped sub to wire up (kit arriving over the next week) and I still need to pick another amp up from another member, then I can give you a reasonable account of how its running.

Having the bass tube though certainly provides some bass though as it is, which is bliss as it was WAY to tinny before hand. I was hoping to get it sorted before Weston, but due to weather, I've not had time or inclining to do it, combine that with arguing on Ebay about headlight bulbs, worrying about an Oil light that keeps coming on, and being daft by ordering other things, its not really changed much lol.

I should hopefully be doing an update over the next week, trying to get as much done as possible from wiring, subtle external changes and hopefully getting started on rear pods and internal door handles

and the following week, an RS Turbo bonnet should be being fitted along with a pair of headlights, finishing off the external bits and peices.

Yay, Mr Postman has been kind to me this morning, in the way of

A) Not waking me too early

and

 Fetching me some goodies for Lekyzeth

So without further ado, let me show you what I received:

03042010151.jpg

Some clear side repeaters, to match the clear front indicators.

My V5 FINALLY arrived too, which is nice.

and last but not least, De-Badging is SO yesterday, Let me introduce you to the next bid fad

RE-Badging

03042010153.jpg

They are actually domed, though it doesn't seem so on the pictures. Should I get questioned by the police, i can act all stupid and say it stands for 'Ford Under Constant Tinkering'

Hopefully I will get the repeaters done today, but cant do the re-badging until I get the RS Turbo bonnet fitted, which should be done next week

Yeah I'm removing both badges, and replacing them with the "Ford under constant tinkering" badges  However, I cant put it on my bonnet yet until I pick up the RS Turbo bonnet from Taz on the 15th, then i'll do them both and put teh clear side repeaters on, also upgrade the wipers to wipers, instead of the 'smearers' that are fitted currently

Ooooooooh got some more goodies winging their way to me now, should be here by this evening

  •
  • 1 x 1000w Fusion Amp
  • 2 x Fusion Subs in Box

Cost me the grand total of £70 (Don't you just love it when Chavs can't afford the monthly payments on their cars and have to take their ICE out before handing the car back to the financial company)

  • STILL waiting on the Amp wiring kits to come from Ebay.......stupid free delivery 2nd class mail
  • The clear side repeaters have been put on the car, at a rather sexy angle (diamond shaped) which was a temp thing originally, but I've since grown to like them that way, so they're staying (Pics in Weston Show Topic).
  • The RS Turbo Bonnet looks the Doogals Danglies from the pics I received, So all still remaining well, shall be picked up and fitted next thursday (Cheers Taz)

Following all this, I should REALLY start making progress on current issues with the car (skirt, engine, squeaky hood, service etc)

(incidentally I have a pre amped small sub box going up for sale soon if any of you space concious type require a bit of bass.- P.S Not the Bass tube previously pictured)

After a loooooong day of delays and electrical issues, I have FINALLY put the Fusion 1000w Amp, and 2 12" Subs in the cab. Now it vibrates its knackers off, so I still need to set up the audio and get the levels right, as well as any sound proofing and padding to eliminate any further clanging. Incidentally, since I had my carpet up and boot open, I thought I'd change my classic coathanger aerial for a proper shiny aerial. So at this moment in time, my sound system is complete. Just a bit of wire routing and hiding in the boot as well as securing the Amp to the Bass box.

Todays tasks have left me achy from the constant crouching and bending over backwards, but its done.

I'll get pics tomorrow when I can be bothered. and hopefully have some proper light to take them with.

ok cool, Well I didnt get to Alains due to family problems, Heating problems and other problems mentioned in another post.

Had a look at those wipers you mentioned, they're nice, but I was going to stick to what I know. Probably Bosch wipers with spoilers fitted.

Anyways, off to get pics of various things now........Stay Tuned

Ok firstly, heres the side repeaters, first aired at the Weston park show.

19042010210.jpg

(Damn stupid reflective car, catching me looking all gormless )

Secondly, The new aerial fitted its only small, but gives AMAZING reception

19042010211.jpg

Thirdly, the twin 12" Fusion Subs, and 1000w Monoblock fusion amp (Aka The Car Rattler)

19042010212.jpg

Once I get the other amp for the front speakers, the boot will be hoovered, the wires and amp will be hidden from view also. Making it look all nice and clean

let me tell you, fitting the subs were a complete pain in the rear, the original Fusion Sub box wouldn't fit in the boot, no matter which way i twisted, turned, shoved etc, so ended up getting a smaller box, and filled with cotton wool type stuff. Making the sub 'think' there is more room than there is. Not sure how it works, something to to with reverbaration or something, the sound takes longer to reach the solid sides or something.......I dunno.

incidentally, just been quoted £150 for some engine work. This is having the head skimmed and bigger Valves fitted.......sounds fun, though I have NO idea what most of that means, but its done by 'Old school' mechanics, do machine work "Off the books" however, parts WILL go through the books, so no discount there
