Guest DCWilk
Has anyone had this problem before please? Mark 3 1985 XR3i Cab; when turning a right hand corner or on a roundabout the car splutters before picking up again on the straight. This doesn't happen on left hand corners. I thought I had run out of fuel the first time it did it but there's plenty in the tank. The car has just passed its MOT last week and it didn't do it on the way back from the test station. Any help at all please? DCWilk

Guest DCWilk
1985 Mk 3 XR3i. It has about a quarter of a tank so I'll put some more fuel in and see what it does. Cheers
gingergman
id say she needs more go go juice, you sure the gauge reads correctly also?
Guest DCWilk
Thanks Gingerman, No i'm not sure at all about the gauge. From your experience is the fuel pickup on the right side of the tank? (which may explain it). Cheers DCWilk (also ginger)
gingergman
a fellow ginger tbh i cant really remember the pick up, think its more in the middle than anything, having said that when i used to park with the drivers side up a kerb with low petrol it wouldnt start till the car was level, meaning pick up would be on the right side of the tank. and i cant look under me cab to check! hopefully someone else will say! Guest DCWilk
Thanks Gingerman, if I wasn't so far away in Geordieland I'd pop down to see you and have a ginger club meeting. Not sure of my cabby's reliability for 250 miles yet. Ref. what you said about parking on a slant, Shaun said the same, could this be a Cabby "characteristic", not sure if I spelt that right. Cheers again. I'll fill her up and see what happens (or not go round right hand bends so fast!) David
gingergman
mine done it when it had hardly any fuel in the tank, near empty, fill her up and try, be the best way to find the problem! lol on a ginger club meeting
