Guest Cabbytech
I still have a pioneer KEH-P7900R with the dolphin display and 6 cd interchanger, sadly i had to take it out of my cab because the connector at the back of the head unit started acting up and the display stopped working sob sob, i ended up putting a ford cd player back into the cab lol. If the pioneer was still working, it would still be in my car.
Guest diggy
depending what your after old skool looks or quality sound. i would prefer better sound system over looks myself but the purist owners would rather keep a ford head unit to keep with the original look of the car. i say do what you think is best as it's YOUR car after all! good luck with what ever you decide. Guest Soggyllama
Sorry to butt in here, but have you thought of the old 'Security radio covers' they used to sell? Basically put whatever stereo you want in there, then for shows or the 'old school' look you just slip the cover over. The Cover looks like an 80's radio/cassette. You'll find them in independant cars shops and usually are dusty as hell hidden amongst the junk shelf. That way you get a modern stereo with classic looks (Ok if you want to change CD or volume change or whatever, then you need to slip the cover off)
