Springy2112
OK forget the above I just had a look behind the unit and found a nightmare spaghetti cabling bodge so I removed it all and luckily the original radio wiring was intact...that's somewhat limiting but I've found an original unit on eBay which I hope I'll win to put straight in.... More for looks really ...if the radio works it's a bonus if the cassette works then it's a double bonus not that I've got any cassettes anymore but I can put an mo3 adaptor cassette thing in.... So I now have a spare 1995 fd 2005 with no code so I'll just put it with the other spares ...Cheers all..

Serial number is K0347982 Esrt32s 89fb18k876aa 0046767 ?????? Thanks again. Edited February 11, 2017 by Springy2112
Guest username
What's wrong with the one you got off ebay? could it be repaired do you think?
Springy2112
Ah hello there , well I am hoping it can be repaired when I said trash I meant nor working yet !! You know I don't like to be defeated... OK there's power getting past the input and transformer to various parts and also lower voltages going to other bits but there's no lights on or any sign of life.. The belt is snapped on the tape but that's not unusual common and can be replaced...I've had a couple of hours inside it with multimeter but got to the limit of my knowledge...but all is not lost...I'll soon be taking one of my b&o units for a service and belt change and I'm thinking if this guy can pull apart and service and repair bang and olufsen gear I'm sure he'll be able to sort an old cassette radio...it's far simpler inside than the b&o believe me.. I think I will try to get it repaired as it would just be awesome to have original audio in the hole ..particularly as the original loom has not been hacked and is so simple....watch this space it ll be a couple of weeks till I get to take the hi-fi to the repair gut via the b&o shop ... Cheers ....
