Guest murcus
nice build, your doing well and in good time, i noticed that you used 2 head gaskets, its good and safe, although just work as well as the plate that the airesearch stage 1 you are using there? what sort if power are you looking to achieve from the lump? did you put in new rings etc whilst you had it stripped? also when you had it skimmed, how much did they skim it?, just out of curiosity, as the compression ratio to begin with would have been around 11-1 and most turbo cars run between 7-1 or 9-1, but with the 2 gaskets you would be around 8-1 but the more the head is skimmed the higher the compression is going to go, buy before every one used to rave on about lowering the compression , i was always one of them, but looking in to the punto gt3 that i have had for 4 years all the gt1, gt2 are 7-1 and the gt3 is 9-1 and ive had it spiking over 23psi and never blew anything, would like to know what the compression ratio would be on you'rs, i did put up the photo before of my mates one that made 250bhp from the 1800 zvh running tt stage 2, and megasquirt but congrats

Can't remember how much was taken off the head, was as little as pos, if there's any problems with the comp i'll get the piston crowns machinned. Got a small update, was going to wait till i had more pictures to post, but i've just collected the top half of the inlet manifold for the welders & i've got to show you all, only cost £50! Cam cover breather hose just about clears it. S2 brakes have been stripped, cleaned inside & out, painted red & i've fitted new seals. Also started to fit the S1 arches & skirts. Guest snozz2004
Cheers for the comments guys got a small update. Finished the mocked up bottom hose, was a bit of an awkward shape, just got to add the off takes for thermostat housing, heater box & turbo water drain & i'll send it off & have a silicone hose made Clears the alternator I used a MK6 Escort zetec top hose, which has a threaded bose for the fan switch, i had to cut it down in width, again this is just a mock, i'll get one made in silicone Drilled & taped holes in the inlet for throttle & idle valve Audi 1.8T forge pistons cleaned & ready to be fitted to the con rods, need to have the cons machinned to take the slightly larger pins
