Guest zvhka
morning all. long story, not really into cab's at all to be honest, but being as neither of my ka's will be done untill sometime next year i wanted something to play about with for a bit to keep me occupied so i'v built this cab. my mate bought it last november, used it for a week and knocked the crank out of it, sold whatever bits he could off it and left the rest in his garage untill he scrapped it, so i had it off him for £300 but it was in a state. have spent since april playing about with it now but on a budget of £1500 as i dont wana spend too much money on it so have just thrown it together with whatever i'v had lying around and painted it myself. plenty of pics here but will have to add them a few posts at a time as it wont let me attatch many in 1 post. i'll put them in order of what it was like when i had it up to now. Guest zvhka
thats about it i think, its not completley finished yet but good enough to use. spec wise its a 1900 american tall block, polished rod's, arp stud and not kit, stage 3 head, bigger stainless valves, 3 angle valve seats, bronze guides, anti pump lifters, double valve springs, cvh34 cam and vernier, port matched inlet, felpro headgasket, stage 3 hybrid t3, -31, scorpion downpipe magnex centre and rear, bailey breather, superchips chipped ecu, front mounted radtec cooler, silicone boost hoses, twin spal fans, spax shocks and springs on the front, gmax on the rear, front strut brace, fully polybushed, cossie 4 pots on the front, braided hoses, etc etc. just built it as a cheap run around to keep me occupied for a bit untill i finish the ka's

Guest zvhka
cheers everyone, it still needs mopping propperly, i'v just done it by hand with a rag and some g3 at the moment. im no painter but im not paying someone a grand to paint it for me, wouldnt be a cheap car then lol. still a few bits to sort, its got 90 spec clocks in so the fuel gauge doesnt work as it should so need some 88 spec clocks, gota move the exhaust as its knocking the rear arm occasionally, put the bumper strips back in it, mop it propperly, then i'll get back onto the ka's. some of you might recognise my silver ka from fast ford last december.... stripped it in march this year though to rebuild it into a new 52 plate shell, still looks almost identical to how it did then but with some much better bits on it now, and its now a 2.

Guest zvhka
have done just over 1k in it now so turned the boost upto 16psi and advanced the dizzy timing a bit from the standard 8 i set it at before as that goes out the window with a superchips chip anyway as it adjusts the ignition timing. timing could probably be advanced a bit more untill it started pinking but i'll leave it where it is for the time being, same goes for the boost, i'll leave it at 16psi for a bit then if its still alright i'll turn it upto 18psi but wont go anymore than that. have had a play with a few things in it, a 225 tt, leon cupra r, and a focus st, it left all them for shit untill there was a reasonably sharp corner or twisty road involved lol.
