Guest Orais
I brought my XR3i in April 2008 and it was in total working order , when having a look around and after test driving it,or so i thought ! So about 1 week later while my fiancee was driving the car and the front left CV joint went with no warning apprentaly ! So we replaced th CV joint and got her mobile again, then after about a month coming back from a drive to the coast the gearbox decided to start clonking 5miles from home then about about 200yrds from home it completely went. No gears nothing !!! So we pushed her home up the slight hill near ours and into the back garden where it stood for the next few weeks! We stripped down the engine and replaced gearbox clutch and clutch release bearing kit. Dave and myself decide to have a proper look at every single thing on the car including fuel lines and inside the fuel tank !!! Now i was starting to wonder what i have brought, so while we stripped the engine and gearbox down we started finding wires held together with cheap bullet connectors hidden with black tape, even in the fuel tank ! There will be pics uplaoded asap havin trouble locating them on my PC again been keeping a book on what been happen stage by stage so thought i would start to up load it to sight as i might take me a while !!
