Name: East Anglia Late Summer Party

Summary: party with bbq & camping if required

Ticket Cost: £5.00

Start Date: Sep 12 2009, 01:00 PM

End Date: Sep 13 2009, 01:00 AM

My mate (Russell) who I share the horses with has loads of fields for camping and parking cars, and his barn is ideal for a late summer party, and he and his wife have kindly agreed to us using it for a Cabby social event, and if the weathers nice enough we can probably use his wife's swimming pool as well! ha! So bring your cossies!

Date - 12th-13th September

Venue -

Mill Farm House

Mill Lane

Readlingfield

Nr Eye

Suffolk

IP23 7QU

So the idea is that you bring your own camping equipment, and drink, and I will arrange the BBQ food and cooked breakfast for the Sunday.

Turn up about Sat lunchtime/afternoon and then play games or whatever people want to do, have a go on the horses, have some drink and then have a general party with some music and jigging about!

Sunday morning wake up to the sound of the countryside and have some breakfast, and probably lots of black coffee's before setting off home whenever you like.

There is a portaloo in my caravan that is parked there and water, but no showers sorry!

A nominal cost of £5.00 per car to be paid when booking, and nominal amount on the day to cover the cost of the BBQ food and cooked Breakfast.

Hopefully enough people will be interested and just in case there is a lot of interest a maximum limit of 30 cars.

So put your names down......this will be great fun

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

This party is now under two weeks away and I need to know the numbers who will be coming so I can plan the food for the BBQ,etc. I've had some queries about what people need to bring so hopefully the following will clarify if not give me a shout.

You need to bring camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, etc), whatever you want to drink and yourselves. If you fancy a ride on the horses then trainers will be ok and we have various size hats, and if the weather is hot enough and you fancy a swim then cossie's as well. I just hope the recent weather lasts as its been really hot here for the last couple of weeks.

Once I know the confirmed numbers of people I will arrange the food and BBQ.

Oh and bring your CD's as there is a music system in the barn.

It should be fun so I do hope a few turn up even if you can't camp overnight it would be good if you can pop over for the Saturday and join in the BBQ and general party. Turn up when you like on the Saturday, and leave when you like on the Sunday.

Hopefully see you there

Avril xx

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to give some more detailed directions for those that are coming.

From North:

M6 to junction with the A14 east towards Felixstowe.

Follow the A14 via Huntingdon, Cambridge and then Bury St Edmunds.

About 10miles the other side of Bury St Edmunds take slip road for the A140 to Norwich.

Go approx 8miles through Brockford and Thwaite and past Thorndon then you will see a sign post to turn right to Eye on the B1117. Take this right turn and follow the road to the T juntion in Eye (approx 2miles)

Then turn right at T junction onto the B1077 and go about 1/2 mile till you get to a sharpish right bend and turn off left on the bend. Follow the road about 2 miles round the country lanes....and watch out for big sugarbeet lorries and tractors coming the other way!

Eventually you pass a sign as you come into Redlingfield and after about 500yrd you then you go round a left bend towards the main village. Mill Farm House is the light green house you first come to on the left and the fields are also on the left before the house. There is a little track that takes you up the side of the house (to the right of the house) and then your there!

Well hope these details are ok, and I'll see you all on Friday or Saturday. Weather has been hot here today and its forecast to be sunny so hopefully it will be a good fun weekend.

Thanks

Avril x
