from the sump gasket? try what i said on fitting it mate. or is it coming from the oil pump seal, if so are you using the metal gasket of paper corkey one?

looks like its coming from the sump and running around and dripping down by the bottom pully. Will drop it off in the week and change it. Will try the superglue trick mate i have read this somewhere before.

 

Are genuine ford gaskets any better than patten ones for this?

the car his looking superb paul lovely to see some one totally rebuilt a mk4 escort cabriolet hope more people copy you did you manage to get the leak fixed was it the sump gasket and did the glue do the trick any way keep up the good work and enjoy using your cabby you deserve it for all the money and hard work done to it by yourself and andy (well done boys).

Sump back on, glued and sealed. Not sure if its cured yet was waiting 24 hours for the sikaflex to go off before filling with oil.

 

Will test tonight.

 

Cars booked in with Motorsport Developments in Balckpool on tuesday to be finished off.

 

Touch wood all will be ok

proper job,

 

i got a mate going up to blackpool today to have his cossie set-up, hes coming all the way from north devon...lol. should be worth it tho, should be a nice stage 3 setup.
