Escort Cabriolet Club
Hi Beccy, Mine did the same, just wind your window down a couple of inches with the door OPEN, close it and raise your window fully !!!
Admin Ollie Posted October 13, 2007 Admin Share Posted October 13, 2007 hi i am afraid the first thing to do is get yourself some good seat covers then with trial and error try to adjust the windows with the adjuster behind the door cards you will no if you have gone to far as when you shut the door you will have a gap up the side of the window sometimes you can just push the glass under the rubber from outside be carefull though you can also adjust the roof handles a little bit more see if that helps but i am afraid joys of owning a soft top ollie
Guest 6tracy9
mine leaks like a sieve!!! But as ollie says the heavy duty waterproof seat covers protect your seats! when i close my door i make sure that the window is tucked under the rubber lip and this stops the window from leaking! when i'm in it and it rains i have to face facts that i'm gonna get wet!!! Vincygav
If you can manually push the window up with your hands, once the window is in the up position - then your window regulator is worn and the metal cogs is worn preventing the electric motor jumping the gap.
