Guest Viking Posted September 6, 2007 Share Posted September 6, 2007 Right here we go, Nobody could/would confirm if a mk4 electric kit would fit a mk5 THE ANSWER it dose I got a mk4 kit free from a mate because he rekoned it wouldnt fit and would wind me up(he said it was mk5) The only way Ifound out is because the switch is different the mk5 uses the later switch (according to my local ford agent)ie the same as the window switch I had one of a mk6 witch my local agent says is the same as mk5 (btw if anyone is scrapping a mk6 or sees one with 4 elec windows Ineed the plugs that fit into the window switchs), So the loom I had was from mk4 got a switch out of my spares box cursed mate for buggering me about but since I had stripped out car thought sod it I,ll give it a try end result one ELECTRIC roof!!!!! so if anyone wants to convert mk3/4 bits fit IF you can mount the switch(not much room in the console for the mk4 one but it did go) So thats the other half happy now for my next trick convert my mk5 dash and center console to mk6(thats why I need the plugs) Viking Now its power It will rain for months Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
