  1. As long as it does not overheat, I think it should be ok. On the mk5 RS2000. I know many of them also run on the hot side, some got around this by changing the thermostat and fan switch to the Escort RS Cosworth ones that would bring it down to the middle of the gauge.

  2. It is not hard, just time consuming, hence why Ed said it is best left to a specialist. In his earlier days he would have done this. Although part of the reason he left wheeler dealrs was due to the time he was taking to do jobs.

I need to get my emissions down for mot on my 1.8 petrol 1997 cabriolet. Does anyone know the best way to do this

    thanks

    Italian tune up, lol

I would say make sure lambda (oxygen) sensor is ok, catalyst converter working well, and car in a good state. Recent or new air filter, plugs

Hi, I'm new here, got Escort 1.6i Cabriolet year 94 / broken roof pump motor, got one from ebay replaced but not working

Does the pump make any noise when operated? If yes then the cogs inside is broken (sheared off) There is usually a roof repair set on ebay

I've got 3 wheel arches. But need to know if front or rear? Is there a difference pictures all look like there the same.

If genuine ford check the part numbers on them. That would show you where it goes if you put it in google

  6. Looks like someone has changed it.

If you have electric mirrors, the nearside should have no control whatsoever and it is just a flat panel. The drivers side has the stalk control. You can twist it around, middle position is neutral, turn to left controls left mirror, turn to right controls right mirror.
