Guest scott c
I am thinking of changing my roof on a totally original xr3i would it be better keeping to a vinyl roof or changing to mohair your thoughts please.
Guest baldstumpy
Changed my original Paprika vinyl roof for a Mohair roof as the new vinyl was very thin, The mohair colour is different but it's warmed inside and seems watertight
Admin Ollie Posted December 1, 2015 Admin Share Posted December 1, 2015 The mohair is much nicer looking and will outlast the vinyl hood :>) be prepared to keep on top of the mohair though as its much harder to keep clean as the cats love them and when the birds drop there load on it gets right in the fibres well worth the extra few quid what colour you going for ? regards Ollie
Guest scott c
Thanks for the advice would probably go for black same as the original. I've had a quote from soft tops in sydenham for £325 fitted for the mohair.
iansoutham
Thanks for the advice would probably go for black same as the original. I've had a quote from soft tops in sydenham for £325 fitted for the mohair. Would highly recommend them. We had our one done around 2003 and it was custom-made to fit the car and stitched by sewing machine there and then. The quality of the materials is top notch and it still looks immaculate over 10 years later
