  1. ive been speaking to people who have 205 or 215 lowered on standard arches and have no rubbing issues, everyone seems to say diffrent things, so im just finding out for myself! make sure you have the correct wheel bolts too mate,
  2. I'm expecting it to drive rubbish to be honest, I wont be using it every day so it'll be cool. I normally cut the springs on them and that's a bad ride!
  3. Yeah I got them to put on the cab when its finished, but I cant resist sticking them on this first!
  4. Recently brought another more door mk4 to use this summer (cabriolet will be done hopefully next summer) its super clean with excellent history, ghia model so electric windows heated front screen etc, its proper original even has the ford fire extingusher in the boot! the temptation to mod it has hit me though, but il reverse it all when the time comes to sell. then my new cosworth wheels fitting 195/40's probably wasnt the best lol, stretched!! i trial fitted them, there back off now till the suspension arrives, they have some poke!! dunno how far il go with it as i do want to change it back in the future
  5. il be there, parked in the car park tho as only got a tin top mk4 unless it can be squezed on the end and no one notices lol?
  6. new fittings look so much better, more subtle,
  7. ive seen some rusty spare wheel wells over the years but that one is something special lol
  8. my mrs use to help but she'd never get under the car!! top woman mate, keep her lol! i have about the same space in my garage, gets a tad tight! it is coming on nicely still
  9. local motor factors will suply you exhaust, cheap too
  10. Dunno about you but um struggling to find some rims!
  11. im putting them on mine, going for 195/40/16, should be no need to mod the arches
  12. Your best bet is to look yourself, for specialist breakers, ebay etc.
  13. It was 5 years ago, that's prob why!!
  14. You tried to Adjust the window so it sits higher/better?
  15. Was alot better then than it is now, owner said he's spent 7k on it so far! Had a shoddy repair and panel gaps we're all over
  16. Website on the bottom will be illegal. On my daily ive got standard font but in carbon fibre, subtle but looks good. You gotta be careful with plates these days, mot fails and too easy for the plod.
  17. this car and its new owner came to me for a drivers door last week, its looking a bit sorry for itself now imo,
  18. Been to the place who painted it last time and they cant do it, so gotta try and find somewhere decent enough to get it done now, hopefully a bit nearer to where its stored! Let the hunt begin!
  19. Sounds like it was low on fluid so someone just used it manually, top it up should be fine
  20. Check the earth on the parcel shelf passenger side
  21. Not 100% sure yet but think mercury grey, its the cars original colour, I did want to have it white, I much prefer them in white, but there's so many about in white and not many mercury, just a gamble as I'm not a massive fan of the colour, but the picture of how I want it finished in my head it looks good lol if that makes sense.
  22. shes seen day light again! ive fitted some temporary suspension and anti rool bar to get it rolling, and been building up parts to rebuild it with, im in the process of sorting out getting the bodywork and paint done, then just put it all back together lol, itll be quite diffrent from last time, alot more original. not many pics but heres a few from this to this got a decent 90 spec bumper and decent rs bonnet just got to tidy up a few bits and remove a couple of bits then its off to the paint shop
  23. Hi, gas the pump got a t piece on the side of it? If you can open and close it manually easily then this needs turning to use electrically, failing that it does sound like the cog in the motor has broke.
