erm sort off but they look to deep to be 15" escort or 16" mondeos and they are def not old skool TSW Stealths or could they be hmmm? thats a thought and yeh it def looks like a project but it will keep another on the road or ill take wheels off do a few bits and bobs to it and sell it on etc

Just noticed the yellow Break Engineering box, they are based near me in Wrexham North Wales hopefuly you can still pop into their factory and but stuff directly from them as i want some new calipers (but cheap lol)

Just get a second hand one of ebay loads of cabs and xr3i's being breaking on there is it the handbrake or brake pedal switch? im sure the mfi and efi switches are diff i could be wrong tho

Nearly had to get rid of mine before christmas just because of the starting problems i have and the fact that the wife hates it but shes calmed down now and ive put my foot down and said im keeping it untill its a write off! id regret it forever if i got rid of it, especially as i have near eneough a complete one in spares as well as lots of new unfitted parts ive got ready for a restoration and £10G wow i thought mine owed me too much at £2G and mines looks battered for now Keep it you know you want too

mine used to regulary stop working at the petrol station and no were else! so i used a diff petrol station with a little bit a decline off the forcourt to bump it

Im having a similar prob with a new starter and battery and the bullet cable is the trigger wire from the ignition, thats what i think my problem could be and yeh id try and clean the terminal/bolt that it goes too and look inside the end witha torch to see if its corroded etc

Anyone going? its close to us in the North West so hope a few of us are. Me and my wife are having IVF treatment starting next week but hopefully that wont stop me from attending, and if i do go i might camp over too. Its still been working fine and i havnt had the time to fully look at it yet Just noticed summat interesting on the shoutbox from yesterday tho, someone has said that they steam cleaned their cab and nackered their starter motor, i had the problem with my two tone as well and guess what? yes i steam cleaned both on a wagon MOT wash ramp with a big industrial Karcher steam cleaner! and thats with the old starter and the brand new one so maybe that could be the probelm too

Been to busy but got jump leads anda bit of wire on the end to touch the starter if it happens again, since this post it has been ok maybe fiddling around has sorted it ?

Hi Den Yes i have a immobiliser fitted so it could be that, when it turned over slowly the other day i tried the direct power from the battery using a jump lead and it turned over fine, so that must be the problem ive had since ive had the car! What i wondered was does it come from the ignition and go anywere near the fuse box because if it terminated anywere there then i might have water ingress there otherwise its def a immobiliser relay corroded inside etc. Glad that i now know what it is as its been irritating the life out of me and making my wife want to get rid of it all the more

Any one know were the trigger wire starts from? or is it directly from the ignition switch? I have still got a starting problem after a new battery, new starter motor, recon alternator + (two earths going to the starter and two earths going from the battery) every now and then it sticks or sounds as if the battery is dead etc so the only thing it can be is the trigger wire it looks like its black with a red stripe and has a black cap fitting that goes to the threaded bolt on the starter This is the main reason i nearly had to get rid of my car befor christmas (Wife hates the car anyway (unless its working and the hoods down with the sun shining ) and when it doesnt start it really ####es her off) so if i dnt get this sorted this week its gonna be war in my house lol
