hmmm im im sure they would or should be seam welded for the strength but i could be wrong, one of my mates had a se amethyst mk4 years ago and that had two front chassis legs welded on at the bulkhead and it was pretty safe or so we thought lol., im sure a qualified bodyshop specialist would know what the best course is

i wouldnt as its strenthened incase of a rollover cant you just repair the corner with some good welding ?

all the ones ive ever had have been gunked up in the breather pipes so poss a common prob

loving the blocks of wood lol i either get a large block of wood across the struts and lift the engine out with help from a freind or use some scaffolding make a frame and chain it out i might try your way next time

i never thought of that, the pedal rubbers are as new really though? and the underneath is super clean just rust on arches and sills as per usual o well it was just a thought. Not keeping this one for too long tho anyway its just a temp one untill i can afford a shiow winner or find one that could be a show winner

HMMMM checked my car out on the mot checker site and it says that since new 06/1990 my car had its first mot in 2007!!! strange so does that mean the 21000 miles are correct although on two mots the testers have put that it has gone around the clock could i contest this with the dvla if it was off the road for over ten years ? what do ya all think? its def suspiciouse the seats and body work are tatty so perhaps it was stolen recovered and stripped of all the good bits

hi all ive just bought a head gasket set with stem seals etc, just wondering what the extra gaskets are for obv theres the main head gasket the exhaust and inlet manifold gaskets and thermostat housing but theres another thats similar to the inlet manifold gasket and three other paper thin ones ?? and also theres two rubber ring seal and a metal and rubber circular plate ?? from memory i think the orange rubber with a spring in is for the thermostat??? but what about the single rubber and the plate one cam?? hope someone can shed some light, lost my haynes manual years ago and im getting old lol

hi all just wondering after looking at the posted paint code list is this the right code for the bottom silver of my new 1990 cabriolet? FORD MOTOR COMPANY SILVER ASH 549 1988 1990 METALLIC the doors and sills have surface rust and a tiny bit of welding needs doing to the lower half of a wing and it has a red front bumper also would it need grey or white primer? forgot to say its a two tone blue and silver
