  1. Still havnt got around to fitting my front shocks so im buying some springs of ebay today, question i have is... will rs turbo springs fit my 3i shocks?? seen some kyb ones cheap on ebay or do they have to be 3i springs ??? im positive they are the same but dont want to order the wrong ones
  2. Sussed out my back end being like a boat, the new tie bars ive fitted each have two nuts not like the old ones, so constantly going over bumps is somehow rattling them loose . Gonna have to use some lock thread and insulation tape me thinks
  3. cab is nice but the fiesta wow i want it
  4. ive got some for my mk4 and they come out the back, so yours should to i guess ? it will only take a min to find out so take a look
  5. good point lenny, too much oil would push more through the breather pipes etc
  6. def not normal have you tried a engine flush and new oil/filter etc ? sounds like a blockage somewere so the oil isnt circulating properly around the engine etc, mine drips oil but its from the gearbox side so obv a drive shaft seal and cba doing it lol
  7. completely different but you could take your springs off and compare them to similar sized springs as they usually fit diff models anyway
  8. mine has started doing it again! but the strange thing is, is that if i press the clutch in and put it in 1st/2nd/3rd gear and try and start it, then its starts fine. WTF??? its a strange one but im not bothered as long as it starts lol
  9. it doesnt sound like anything major, id try taking every sensor off one by one whilst trying to run the car theres not too many off them. and as someone said check for blockages/clean iscv or if that all fails try a diff ecu ive got two spare here but im in wrexham
  10. HA HA i was thinking that too Lenny and as for my car yes all the bolts were tightened up whilst it was on the ground. only thing i can think of is that the back end is stiffer than the front and thats whats causing it to handle like crap I wonder if its the rear tie bars causing the problem as they are the two nut newer ones so they might not be spot on ? I have bought new front shocks but ive noticed they have sent me the wrong ones didnt want to really fit them yet anyway untill i get hold of a brand new drivers side hub carrier to go with my new passenger one etc then the front end will be all nice and new apart from the calipers (TRW - (break engineering) factory near me just need to find someone who still works there to get me some cheap)
  11. good point older and wiser, otherwise its a small yellow one under the dash right hand side if it is a relay prob try and bridge terminals 30 and 87 witha peice of suitable wire to see if the pump primes/works (obv with ignition on)
  12. Recently fitted new rear shocks, springs and tie bars to my mk4 and the handling is absolutely shocking if i do anything over 80 it feels dangerous so i have to slow down, it seems to wobble/pull to the sides it was even worse when i had the new springs fitted (they sent me the wrong ones as in they were higher than standard) so with new new shocks and tie bars its really bad any ideas? or could it be that because the back is all new i need to fit new front shocks/springs the front has new tcas so their bushes are ok (i have new front shocks all ready to fit just need to buy springs)
  13. Hi guys Ive had the same problem on my mk4, it should basically be the same problem!,, climb in the back of the car with the hood up, put your hands up the sides of the internal roof trim, feel for a support bar in the roof and pull it forward then the roof should close perfect you might have to do it a few times just to get it moving freely
  14. absolute80s.com rocks

  15. hi scott a little! its like a boat on the back end lol gotta admit tho speed bump wise the exhaust doesnt catch any as ive said im gonna have to chop em rather than put the old ones back on
  16. nned a new profile photo as i look fat in that one lol

  17. Springs i was sent were supposedly specifically for the cab but they were a good 10cm's taller than the old ones,, looks like a drag racer and feels like a boat on the back end so gonna have to chop a bit off or refit the old ones and i cant get the rear tracking spot on as ive got the newer tie bars with two bolts either side and all the local garages are shut still i took it down the A55 last night to the Northwales Cruise meet
