mine has actually changed sound too but it still working fine, luckily i have a spare one just in case and a fuel pump to bodge under the bonnet temporarily etc

mines hiding inbetween standard cars lol

Looks great dont like the black vents tho but thats just me, has the paint gone on alright with leaving the hood on? im thinking of taking my hood and windscreen/windows off/out to respray mine and there another cruise on in north wales Mochdre sat night i think, i might be going if i fit my new shocks/springs/tie bars/bearings in time

Hi guys Good point older and wiser, check the inertia switch first and your probably right it sounds like the fuel regulator but could also be the same problem i had with the rubber joint on the fuel pump itself, take the regulator off and turn over the car to see if it comes out faster than it does to the rail to find out this, or perhaps the pump has had it. Just a thought how old is the fuel filter could be that, prob not tho As for taking the tank out 2steppa its easy to unbolt the tank and drop it, its the tappping the ring that holds the pump/sender unit in place thats tricky especially sparks wise! as obviously its the petrol vapour thats flammable not the actual liquid petrol! i wrapped the end of my screw driver with insulation tap to prevent this http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z349/welshlad1978/DSCN2824_zps6f270aee.jpg

sorted mine its the trigger wire going to the starter, the thinnest wire easy fix

Good turn out must have been 1500 cars there at least, three mk 1 escorts, two escort cosworths loads of rs and st focuses etc etc obviously i was only checking out the fords only prob i had was on the way home on the m56 i was doing 90 and the car felt like it was pulling lightly to the side like a bit of side wind, so after the third time i ragged it across the lanes dangerously as it was worrying me, found out that the wheel was loose, so checked nuts they were ok, so drove it slowly 30mph to get off the motorway before i got towed off . upon getting onto the a483 jacked it up and wheel was hanging off! the rear shock had gone so that cuased the wheel bearings to collapse and the break piston to pop out etc luckily i have onward recovery seems like my car has a m56 problem, last year it was a front cv joint hub nut shearing off on the same road on a good side bought front and rear shocks x4 brand new for £90 delivered! might buy some new springs too seeing as they were cheap oh and pics to follow didnt take many as i took my dog so my wife took them

anyone got any spare rear light gaskets for sale super cheap or could someone scan some so i can make some, mine hasnt got any
