when i put an 1800 zetec in my mk4 xr3i, what do i do with the power steering related parts? do i just unbolt them amd leave them off?

Either unboltthem,leave the pully to be an idler, or modify it to use on an existing mk4 steering rack of you want power steering with it.

You can't convert the non-PAS rack to PAS. PAS on a MK4...............Ultra rare!! They did do them as i've seen them on some autos. I've heard of people "bodging" PAS off other cars. MK5/6 doesn't fit!
