Guest Ike Posted December 29, 2016 Share Posted December 29, 2016 Hi all...trying to figure out how to squeeze the most out of my gf's 1.6 zetec cab and I need some help. I only really know pinto and banana engines so I'm having a bit of a time finding out any info about it. I know the old induction/exhaust system is an obvious route but are there any pitfalls in doing this? Loss of torque etc.. Also hunting for good springs to change out the originals for..adjustable would be fun but again, any help's just appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ian71 Posted December 29, 2016 Share Posted December 29, 2016 Depends on how much you want to spend,to make it worthwhile the money it would cost would be better to put a 2 litre engine strait in. Changing filters and exhaust manifolds and removing the cat converter will make it sound faster but gives very marginal increases in performance,having head gas flowed would help but again very expensive.
