Hi all.

Yes yet another topic about a roof leaking.

I have read all the other threads but thought I would post this as I'm desperate for help.

My roof leaks on my 1989 cabby, it leaks on drivers side where the roof seal meets the door seal , top right.

I have tried sealant but this hasn't worked, I have to cover my seat with a tarpaulin every time it rains cos I get a massive puddle on my seat where it drips down ;(

Is there anything more I can do, it's really getting to me now.

Am located in Suffolk if anyone can help I can pay in tea and biscuits

Many thanks

Kathryn x

It'll be either that the rubber flap on side of your Weatherstrip has wore away, and or you may be the lil bit of plastic that should be fitted under hood cover to shoot the water away from that join is incorrectly fitted, not there or broken.

My solution atm is a bin bag on each seat keep an eye on the problem plus this

hope the info proves useful, el

Hopefully another member who has them and a mint weatherstrip will put up some pic's of the relevant part

where abouts in suffolk are you and have you tried adjusting the window as it might not be sealing properly

I used stormguard extra thick weatherstrip from B&Q. It costs near £6 and is a 3.5m roll. and seals gaps between 4-7mm thick. I put it on the inner front window rubbers and on top of the roof where the roof touches the windscreen as when I replaced my outer roof it was hard to reattach the clear plastic water channel.

It is also black, seems to hold ok so far.
