Guest PJ07 Posted August 30, 2012 Share Posted August 30, 2012 ive a mk3 cab and the boot lid is ok but has a dent on the top so i replaced it with a mk4 cab boot lid but when i started the lock strip down and swop over the mk3 bits seem to small for the mk4 boot lid and is loose..... any one else had this problem? and any ideas to sort it out? Guest nellyboy Posted August 30, 2012 Share Posted August 30, 2012 (edited) hi..maybe of no relevance but i did the same job on a transit van once for a friend..i noticed the door metal from the "F" reg transit was a lot thicker than that of the "G" reg although only one year older...i found a suitable spring washer to make up the difference and a black plasic washer to make it look acceptable..hope this helps Edited August 30, 2012 by nellyboy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
