Mk5 rs2000 2.0 16v galaxy 2.3 16v i dont want to spend thousands or have the car off the road long. Am keeping my cvh gearbox to keep things simple. Just need some advice really. Hence why most rs2000 that want more power upgrade to the galaxy bottom end. You'll need the rs2000 parts to fit the galaxy engine as the ancillarys wont fit in a escort engine bay. 1.7 puma engine have never seen this done. will require quite a bit of work and your not getting much gains so i would discount that. Up to you the rs2000 conversion isn't too involved but at the same time its not the best of engines and if you want more power than standard it gets expensive fast. Guest dancabs Posted April 27, 2012 Share Posted April 27, 2012 buy an old mondeo 2.0 zetec.... probly get change from 300 quid for an mot failure and then you have all the bits u need. you might even be able to claw some money back from parts you don't need.
