Hello iv fitting my new mohair roof and it looks amazing.

i bought it second hand already fitted to a frame ready to bolt in but it seams to be a bit loose at the front. the handles are fully screwed in, iv even tryed taking the little spacer off to make it tight but they are still loose and easy to shut. my old roof was quite hard to click in place.so thats the first problem

second is the passager window there is a gap and the drivers if you shut the door with window fully up it pushes again the glass

any body any ideas or anybody in or around manchester that knows quite a bit about fitting roofs who fancies having a look you could either come down or i could come to you mot is on (friday) and exchange beer tokens if you wish

thanks andy

Theres tensioning cables running down the sides inside the hood. Also various straping. I've never come across a hood thats slack at the front to close. I would inspect these to make sure nothing is a miss. Failing that the hood may have been incorrectly fitted. Crashed cars often have damaged hood frames which is something to be aware of also. This will cause all manner of problems.

The window problem is easy. Simply remove the door card. There are limiting bolts and the glass angle can be adjusted also if required. this will sort the gap out. you need to set the bolt so it doesn't allow the glass to go up as far

just sat in the car while my dad went crazy with a hose pipe ha. and seams to be coming from the windows so ill adjust them up see if it stops the leak. when i said the front is loose it does clamp down tight but compared to my old roof the are really easy to clamp which makes me feel something is wrong as my old roof you really had to push up to clamp it down
