Guest Lee81
I would forget about any welding on top before you have checked the main structures under the car. Its normally worse. In my opinion that car shouldn't be on the road. Thats more rotten than any car i have ever dismanteled or scraped. If your after a decent base to start from i have a car waiting to be dismanteled on my drive. All it needs are new front wings and minor rear arch repair. Everything else is solid on it
Guest AndrewElliott
keep the bonnet looks good i agree with the welding tho get it done or do it your self your car is definatly far from scrap specialy if your doing the work your self
Guest renegaderoger
I will not scrap the car. It has MOTs all the way up to last year so it's not as bad as it looks. I agree with you that it needs welding and it will all be sorted in the next couple of months plus a new lick of paint. Setting me back £1200 all gonna be good when done so stay tuned for that. P.S i like the bonnet, it will help with the next stage of the plan
Guest renegaderoger
So just an update, i have had the car resprayed and welded... sills have been shotblasted and welded, new front wings and it set me back £1500. Have a look at my pics, the recent ones are after the respray... http://s582.photobucket.com/albums/ss267/william_the_bloody1992/
gingergman
glad its been welded, that fibre glassing was just a pure bodge, and loose the bonnet, its only a 3i for gods sake!! on the plus side, the paint looks good.
Guest renegaderoger
it is only a 3i for now
gingergman
no amount of power would justify that bonnet though
