As I am after the rear passenger electric window motor, also after an electric aerial if there is one goin spare. Guest Cooderkey Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Hi Kev, Having just bought four Fog/spot switches for my Mk6, which didn't work, when all were supposed to be PERFECT, I fully understand your comments. At least with this aerial it is a brand spanker, and there are also better quality items on offer from £29.99 approx.. I took my Cabby to a local ICE specialist in Colwyn Bay, for an electric aerial, and they supplied & fitted it for me for £40.00. For the time I would have spent on it, I think they did it in half the time, and also checked all the connections with their special meters etc. I think it was worth the extra few quid. Guest kevsbluecab Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 40 ain't bad really to be honest I'd happily pay that although I do enjoy a challenge and like working with electrics ( when it goes right though ) lol all blue my aerial is the original ford and I get no noise etc but the top has been broke off so there is nothing there, I did think about just getting the mast but not sure if the unt is faulty too as there is no noise when the radio is switched on. Is there a simple way to test the aerial? Like put 12v on it direct and see what happens?? Yeah I think I saw that electric widow motor on eBay too although I need the rear one. I've got te mech and everything it's just te motor is broke, does anyone know if they all use the same motors? Front back cabriolet and hardtop? As if they do and are interchangeable I should be able to get one easy. Or just put a windy handle on it haha Many Thanks for your help!!!
